Scholarships

In supporting our commitment to excellence and high standards, The John Andrew Shanley Academic Scholarship and The Hanora Music Scholarship were established in 1996, in memory of Miss Shanley’s parents.

Pupils in the Prep Department who have demonstrated excellent academic achievement are invited to sit the academic scholarship examination, which involves an English Paper, a Mathematics Paper and a Reasoning Paper.

Pupils in the Prep Department who demonstrate excellent musical ability are invited to sit the music scholarship assessment. Musicians applying for the music scholarship are requested to play an instrument, sing and complete an oral theory examination.

Invitations to sit the scholarship assessments are sent out to parents of current Prep pupils in the Autumn and Spring Terms. The award for the Academic Scholarship is a 25% reduction in school fees and for the Music Scholarship the award is a 10% reduction in school fees.
