A warm welcome to Parkgate House Nursery

Our Nursery provides an excellent foundation for school, nurturing and developing many of the skills that underpin a smooth transition to Reception, whilst also providing daily opportunities for fun, creative play, free-flow sessions and outdoor learning. Our highly experienced Nursery staff know how to nurture every child as an individual, helping them to feel happy and secure in their ‘home from home’, whilst also encouraging them to take on new challenges and try new activities, which change regularly, both in the Nursery classrooms and in the dedicated Early Years Playground.  

Our Nursery children benefit from a rich and innovative curriculum, which includes specialist teaching from the outset.  Here at Parkgate we offer a wide range of activities every day which are designed to help each child develop physical, cognitive and social skills in a fun and engaging way.  Subjects such as Drama, Ballet, Music, Sport, Art and French are carefully brought to life by our specialist teachers, while core topics such as reading, writing and number-work are established and embedded through fun activities.  Outdoor learning and outdoor play are key features of the nursery curriculum, and nursery children also benefit from sessions with our older children and Peer Mentors, such that they quickly become part of the Parkgate family.
