Prep 6 Music Scholar Zakariya has been working incredibly hard to balance his musical commitments alongside his academic studies, with outstanding results. Zakariya has successfully auditioned for the Royal Opera House’s production of Puccini’s ‘La Bohème’, and he is very much looking forward to returning to the Royal Opera House stage in July. He was also invited to compete at the annual Bagpipe Competition at Gordon’s School on 19th April, where he achieved remarkable success, winning 1st place in both the Under 12 Practice Chanter and Under 14 Goose Pipes categories 👏👏👏
Alongside his musical pursuits, Zakariya worked diligently to prepare for his 11+ exams and was offered places at an impressive range of schools, including Westminster Under School, King’s College School Wimbledon, City of London School (with a Music Exhibition), Dulwich College (with an Alleyn Club Scholarship) and Wetherby Senior School. Zakariya has decided that Westminster is the right school for him, and he is very much looking forward to being part of the first coeducational Year 7 cohort.
