This week, Parkgate pupils have been taking part in activities to mark Anti-Bullying Week and its national theme: “Choose Respect”. For example, Pre-Prep 2 pupils explored a range of scenarios relating to respect – the children discussed what they would do in each scenario, and how they would ask for help. Pupils also listened to the stories ‘All Are Welcome’ and ‘Be More Badger’, relating to respect and tolerance. The children then wrote about what respect looks like, sounds like and feels like.
During assembly, Miss Morgan, our Deputy Head, explained that the average person makes 35000 choices every day. Miss Morgan reminded all pupils of the importance of making good choices, such as choosing kindness and respect - two of our Parkgate Virtues.
Our Parkgate Virtues are fully embedded into school life, and our Jigsaw PSHE Programme ensures that our Virtues and pupils’ wellbeing are at the heart of all we do. We are delighted that @jigsaweducationgroup has renewed our Flagship School status this week, in recognition of the success of our PSHE programme.
