Sports play an integral role in the curriculum at Parkgate House School. Sports are taught throughout the school by experienced and professional coaches.

In the Autumn and Summer Terms the children have their games lessons on Clapham Common with specialist Games Teachers. Throughout the year, the children participate in inter-house competitions as well as an annual Fun Run in aid of The Trinity Hospice. Pupils also participate in matches against other local prep schools and parents are most welcome to come and support. In the Summer Term we hold our annual Sports Day where the pupils compete for the House Cup.
Swimming takes place every week throughout the year for all children. Mr Martin Jackson is an experienced coach and is responsible for organising the annual Swimming Gala as well as encouraging the pupils to gain distance badges.
Horse Riding is offered to all pupils in the Prep Department in the Autumn and Summer Terms and this takes place at Stag Lodge in Richmond Park. The pupils are able to learn to ride as well as learning about stable management all under the tutelage of fully qualified instructors.
Karate is offered for all boys in the Pre-Prep and Prep Department as part of the curriculum as well as an after-school club. The pupils are encouraged to complete their grading examinations.
Ballet is offered for all girls in Nursery (Boys and Girls) Pre-Prep and Prep Department as part of the curriculum and the pupils are encouraged to take their grade examinations.
