Pre-Preparatory School, 5 - 7 years
At five the children progress to the Pre-Prep department, where we set out to provide the children with the skills needed for successful learning, so that they can gain maximum benefit from our broad and varied curriculum. In this way, we can move forward to teach the children how to learn, how to find things out and how to turn interest into knowledge. The environment we provide is cheerful, energetic and secure, where the children can achieve their full potential, helped and encouraged by a committed and motivated teaching staff . We prepare children of all levels of ability to act with confidence and consideration as we equip them with the academic background to succeed at the end of Key Stage Tests and, later, in the Prep department. We believe that all pupils leaving Pre-Prep take with them the best that they can achieve across a wide range of areas.
Throughout the Pre-Prep department we aim to:
> Offer all pupils a broad and balanced curriculum
> Treat all pupils as individuals
> Strive for academic excellence
> Promote self-confidence and independence
> Provide a happy and stimulating environment
> Provide a safe and secure environment in which pupils can thrive
