The Parents’ Committee

The aim of the Parents’ Committee is to organise enjoyable events for parents, children and staff alike, whilst fundraising for some wonderful charities adopted by the school.
The Committee represents a good cross-section of the school, with children in various classes from Nursery to Prep 6.

Class Representatives

The role of the class representative is to provide a communication channel between the parents and the committee for the purpose of promoting the fun fundraising events that are planned each term. Having a class representative also helps the parents get to know each other.

Charity Events

During the school year, the Committee organises a variety of functions to raise money for charity and for the school. In the past they have held  Wine Tasting Evenings, Daffodil Competitions, Teddy Bears’ Picnics and Charity Cricket matches.  The Committee works hard to try to make these events successful and they are always great fun.

Uniform Sales

Once a term, the Committee holds a school uniform sale.  This takes place a few weeks before the Harrods Uniform Shop visits the school and is a great opportunity to pick up some bargains, as well as to clear out unwanted uniform from parents’ cupboards.

Designated Charities

The Leonora Children’s Cancer Fund was established by Lord and Lady Romsey after their daughter Leonora lost her brave battle against cancer in 1991.

This charity helps fund vital research into childhood cancer and the care of children and families affected by these illnesses.

‘Out of a small child’s tragedy, hope is born for others’

Room to Read’s mission is to provide under-privileged children in Cambodia, India, Nepal, Vietnam and Sri Lanka with an opportunity to gain the lifelong gift of education.

This charity was adopted by our school in order to find a dynamic and direct way to support those affected by the Tsunami.
